摘要：In this talk, we share some recent advances in solving the capacity of several private information retrieval (PIR) and related problems under arbitrary patterns using the view of linear programming and duality. We will start with the PIR problem with arbitrary collusion patterns, and demonstrate how linear programming and duality comes into play when characterizing its capacity in a unified form that works for all collusion patterns. We then go on to show that the view of linear programming and duality is useful in studying some of the other related problems with arbitrary patterns. Finally, we discuss the limitations of this view and some open problems.

主讲人简介：刘楠，东南大学移动通信国家重点实验室教授、博士生导师，2014年度高校“青蓝工程”优秀青年骨干教师。2001年于北京邮电大学电子工程系获学士学位，2007年于美国马里兰大学电机与计算机工程系获博士学位。2007年至2008年期间，在美国斯坦福大学电子工程系无线系统实验室任博士后，2009年1月加入东南大学信息科学与工程学院任教授。作为项目负责人承担多项国家自然基金项目及一项国家重点研发计划子课题，在国内外核心杂志上发表多篇学术论文，其中IEEE Transactions论文20余篇。获国家发明专利10余项。IEEE会员。担任《IEEE Transactions on Communications》associate editor、《中国通信》编委、国际会议PIMRC 2014移动与无线网络论坛主席、国际会议WCSP2009、2012通信理论论坛主席、WCSP2016、2021信息论与编码论坛主席、国际会议ICCC 2022通信中隐私与安全论坛主席，2019-2021信息论旗舰会议ISIT TPC等职务。获2014年雷克奖教金与2021年南京工学院无线电系77、78级校友奖教金。
